Every parent nowadays is worried about their kids obtaining social media account and the dangers that come along with it. Yeah, Facebook, Twitter these give us a great way of reaching out to our friends and family. But the internet can be an unhealthy place to be in many instances and regulating your children’s use of social media account is a must for every parent. I myself always try to keep a close eye on my kids when they are on Facebook. But if I happen to find out that one of my kids got a secret Facebook account and not making the best choices when interacting with others… I would definitely not react the way this father did!

When the Dad discovered her daughter secretly using Facebook for less than appropriate purposes, he made her wear this T-shirt that reads: “I’m 10 Years Old” on the front and “5th Grader” on the back. Then he published it on Facebook to publicly shame her! The result? The post went viral, collecting more than a quarter-million likes and 80,000+ shares (not to mention nearly 4,000 comments). Most Facebook commenters have been supportive of his tactics. But some did object to the fathers actions. This kind of public shaming can leave a bad impression on the kids personality development and will definitely scar her for the rest of her life.
